The counterintelligence of the security service violated new attempts by Russian special services to weaken the internal situation in Dnieper. According to the results of the work, ahead of the local spouse, who was made to order, prepared a terrorist attack in the front edge.
To fulfill the task, the accused were located on the territory of the regional center and its environs of 6 shelters with home explosive devices (SVP) and F-1 grenades.
The enemy planned to hire a new group of agents who were supposed to get explosives from shelter and use it for explosion in crowded places.
In addition to the preparation of the cache, both traitors on behalf of Russian special services “controlled” the effectiveness of sabotage by another agent.
For example, the accused recorded the consequences of the arson of the post office, which were committed by other Russian employees who were already detained by SBU. The corresponding agents “Report” were sent by the Messenger of the curator to Russia.
SBU employees revealed a couple of traitors in advance, documented their crimes and detained.
According to the investigation, they were a 42-year-old contractor of one of the military units engaged in underwriting during a vacation, as well as his 24-year-old wife, who was recruited by the enemy in one of the telegrams.
When searching, they captured new SVP, disguised as a thermos and intensified by screws. The phones and seven cards that they used to communicate with the curator were also identified.
SBU investigators reported detained suspicions within the framework of three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 2 of art. 111 (treason committed in martial law);
- Part 1 of art. 263 (illegal handling of combat belongings or explosives);
- Part 2 of art. 263–1 (illegal production of an explosive device committed by a group of people).
Attackers are in custody without collateral. They are threatened with life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
