The body of journalist Victoria Roshkin, who was in Russian captivity, was returned to Ukraine.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Timchenko spoke about this in an interview with Censor.net.

Her body was returned as part of a recent repatriation at the end of February this year. With the help of DNA, her personality is identified, he said.

Victoria Roshchina disappeared on August 3, 2023 in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, where she had to make a report. In May 2024, Russia first confirmed that it was captured.

In October 2024, the journalist’s father announced his death when at the Taganrog stage to Moscow. Subsequently, the information was confirmed by the coordination headquarters of prisoners of war.

Russia has not returned the body of a journalist for a long time.
