This was stated in a statement by the head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, in an interview with RIA Novosti, published on Wednesday, July 20.
The representative of the ruling regime of the Russian Federation assures that if Ukraine’s Western partners provide long-term weapons to Kyiv, then Russia will allegedly occupy other territories of southeastern Ukraine to “i -secure” itself.
“Now the geography is different. It is not only the “DPR” and “LPR”, it is also the Kherson region, the Zaporozhye region and some other territories,” he said.
Lavrov added that the Kremlin cannot allow “the part of Ukraine controlled by Zelensky or his replacement” to have weapons that could “pose a direct threat” to Russia.
It will be remembered that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the United States and Great Britain allegedly want to “push Russia along with Europe.”
