Ukraine is ready for negotiations at the end of a full -fledged war, but not for surrender.
The Ukrainian delegation confirmed its position in resolving a war at a meeting with partners in London. Representatives of Kyiv confirmed the main position – Ukraine is ready to agree, but not to give up. On April 23, Minister of Economics Yulia Sviridenko announced this on Facebook.
According to her, Ukraine will not agree to any of the agreements that would allow the aggressor to change and start the war again with more forces. Kyiv insists on the complete cessation of hostilities.
There will be no agreement that will give Russia the stronger foundations necessary for regrouping and returning with great violence. A complete ceasefire – on land, in the air and at sea – is a necessary first step. If Russia chooses a limited pause, Ukraine will answer the same thing, ”said Sviridenko.
The head of the Ministry of Economics also emphasized that Ukrainian society will not accept a frozen conflict and will never recognize the occupation of Crimea.
In addition, as the official emphasized, Ukraine will need “sufficiently strong” obligatory security guarantees if membership in the North Atlantic Alliance is not provided.
We recall that the media reported that the meeting planned on April 23 in London between the leading diplomats of the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany and Ukraine are postponed, and instead of a multilateral meeting there will be negotiations between high -ranking officials from five countries.
Earlier information appeared that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will not participate in the meeting.
