The Chinese and Russian sides spoke about the creation of nuclear power plants as part of the construction of an international lunar research station.
Russia and China plan to build a nuclear power plant over the moon as part of the construction of the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS). The lunar base energy supply will be given additional giant solar panels. This was proven by the presentation of the Chief Engineer of the Space Mission Pey Zhaoyoya, which he introduced to Shanghai, reports the Reuters News Agency.
The basis for building the base on the South Pole of the Moon should be the automatic Chany-8 station, the launch of which is scheduled for 2028.
In the first phase, the landing module, lunar rover and robot for studying Earth’s satellite resources and relief will be sent to the moon to select the station’s placement area and landing ships with the necessary materials for construction.
In the second phase, it is planned to establish the control center of the lunar station, adjust delivery to the volumetric cargo satellite, create orbital modules to provide electricity supply, communication and support of transportation services.
The creation of a lunar station, which could be controlled remotely, was planned to be completed by 2036. It was previously stated by Deputy Director General of Roscosmos for the International Cooperation Sergey Savelyev.
He added that the base of the base would “conduct a multidisciplinary, multi-purpose research work to study and use the moon.”
Remember Russia’s amazing “success” in the “development” of space and moon: the Luna-25 station was the first Russian spacecraft who tried to get to the month since the USSR era. He was launched on August 11, 2023, and on August 19, Russia announced an “abnormal situation” with a month’s mission.
Later, on August 20, Roscosmos admitted that the Luna-25 station fell over the moon. For more than a week, the Kremlin has not commented on this failure, especially embarrassing against the rear of India’s success, which has successfully planted the Chandraian-3 station in the month.
