In December 2024, RTVI quoted statistics according to which at least 28 people were convicted of an article in spy. Of these, 18 were the citizens of Ukraine, seven Russians, two – from the USA.
In the same month, Russian Federation head Vladimir Putin demanded that the FSB be strengthened the work to identify Russian traitors.
“It is necessary to quickly stop the work of foreign intelligence services, actively fighting those who organize sabotage and terrorist attacks, identify detectives and traitors,” he said in a video call.
