Martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine can be extended for another three months.
VOLODYMYR ZELENSKY President submitted in the RADA Verkhovna draft laws on “expanding martial law in Ukraine” and “on expanding the term of general mobilization.” The relevant bills No. 13172 and No. 13173 were published on the website of the parliament.
From the documents it follows that martial law and the mobilization of Zelensky wants to continue from 9 to 90 days until August 6. The head of state suggests that parliamentarians approve of relevant presidential decrees.
It is known that for the first time martial law and mobilization in Ukraine were introduced on February 24, 2022 within 30 days. After that, the conditions continued, first for a month, and from May 2022 for three months. It will be the 15th Voice in Verkhovna Rada for these questions.
It is known that during martial law in the country it may limit the freedom of movement of citizens, foreigners and stateless persons, as well as the movement of vehicles. During martial law, it is impossible to terminate the powers of the Verkhovna, Government, Courts, Ombudsman and some other authorities.
During martial law, the country can also be prohibitions and restrictions on:
- the right to work and business;
- the right to secrecy of correspondence and telephone conversations;
- The right to freedom of speech, media -deeds, political parties.
We will recall that recently the commander, in the course of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Sirsky said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine demand 30 thousand new mobilized every month. Syrian also said that 6 million Ukrainian men did not update their data in the CCC and did not avoid mobilization, but they can be found using digitalization.
