Famous Ukraine businessman and philanthropist Garik Korogodsky openly spoke about his attitude toward war and mobilization. She talked about it in a conversation with Natalia Moseichuk.
At the age of 64, he admitted: he had the desire and physical opportunity to join the rank of Ukraine’s armed forces, but intentionally chose a different way – to stay behind and help there.
“I’m ashamed of not fighting. I can fight for health reasons, I can go, I will take me somewhere. But I am convinced myself that I will bring many benefits here. And really,” Korogodsky said.
He emphasized: the decision to stay has nothing to do with fear. To avoid losing a sense of truth, a trader regularly – once every two weeks – goes ahead. There he supports the military, reports helping and seeing everything in his own eyes. This, according to him, helps to stay in contact with the war – and his own conscience.
“When you live in Kyiv, you can also forget that there is a war. And when you leave and see the conditions where the military lives, they fight what is needed … It’s all like a vampire of emotion to have enough work for two weeks”,
