In Europe, a weapon smuggling network is liquid

“The case began in September 2023, when Bosnia and Herzegovina law enforcement agencies noted to Slovenian authorities that the vehicle, which was carrying a large amount of weapons and ammunition, was sent to France. Since the vehicle was in Slovenia going to Austria, the Slovenian authorities were informed of Austria.

As a result of the search, law enforcement officials discovered:

• 25 Kalashnikov assault rifles,

• 1 machine gun

• 126 Manu -manong Grenades,

• 25 kg of ammunition,

• 1 pistol.

All of these are hidden in special secretion areas and even in a spare tire.

The driver, a citizen of Slovenia, is confined. The review of his mobile phone showed contacts with French, Serbs, Bosnians and Spaniards. One of French citizens was identified as a co -organizer of weapons.

On March 18, 2025, searches and arrests were at the same time held in some countries. Four people were arrested in France, another in Spain, and two in Bosnia. The main suspect is still on the wish list.

Earlier in Ukraine, more than 1000 at the same time searches were conducted to prevent illegal sale channels and storing weapons and ammunition. More than 800 weapons and 57 kg of explosives were seized. 67 suspects were detained.
