Russian gas monopoly Gazprom and the national Iranian oil company NIOC have signed a memorandum of understanding. We’re talking about projects worth about $ 40 billion, the Shana news agency reported on Tuesday, July 19th.
The deal was closed at an online ceremony attended by Gazprom Deputy Chairman Vitaly Markelov and NIOC CEO Mohsen Heustemer.
Planned projects include the construction of the Kish and North Pars gas fields, pressure of the South Pars field, the construction of six oil fields, the completion of liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply projects and the construction of gas export pipelines.
It will be recalled that on July 18-19, a trilateral summit will be held in Tehran, in which the leaders of Iran, Turkey and Russia are participating.
