In Egypt, 23 people were killed and 32 others were injured in varying degrees of severity as a result of an accident in the central province of El Minya. This was reported by the local website Al-Youm Al-Sabia with reference to the local traffic police on Tuesday, July 19.
The accident took place on a road near the city of Mallavi. A bus carrying 45 passengers, traveling from the southern province of Sohag to Cairo, collided with a truck parked on the side of the road, where there were also people.
The injured were taken to a local hospital where they were treated.
According to preliminary data, the bus passengers were residents of the southern region of Egypt. The circumstances of the accident are under investigation.
