The Prime Minister of Israel came to arrange Trump about new duties and promised to eliminate trading lack, as well as removal of barriers.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country has quickly eliminated trade shortages in the United States, as well as trading barriers between the two countries. He said this at a meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington on Monday, April 7.
“First, if we are talking about targets- because this topic is now the main interest- I can say I gave the President (Trump) a very simple thing. We will eliminate trading shortages in the United States, and we intend to do so quickly,” the head of the Israeli government.
He emphasized that he considered this procedure correctly.
“And we will also remove trading barriers, various trading barriers that are installed without the need,” Netanyahu added.
In this regard, Trump said at a press conference that the United States did not plan to suspend large tariffs introduced against most states. He noted that many countries are talking to Washington, and the United States will try to end the “honest agreement” with each of them.
Earlier, the media reported that Netanyahu would go to Trump to discuss new roles. This visit was the first arrival of a foreign leader to discuss the new tariffs.
As you know, on Wednesday, April 2, Trump announced the introduction of major duties to imported goods. He called it America’s “Day of Liberation”.
