Illegal migrants led by special Belarusian and Russian services are becoming more aggressive – they throw rocks, branches and use grinding machines to cut off the barrier.
The Minister of the National Defense of Poland Vladislav Kosineak-Kamysh has announced the growth of tension on the Polish-Belarusian border. He said about this in an interview with POLSAT News.
According to him, migrants led by special Belarusian and Russian services are becoming more aggressive – they throw rocks, branches and use grinding machines to cut off the barrier.
Only at night from Friday to Saturday, approximately 300 attempts to illegally cross the border were recorded, they all stopped. Kosinyak Kamysh emphasized that migrants’ actions were fixed, and called this part of a hybrid operation, the goal of which was to soften Poland and Europe.
“The operation from the Belarusian and Russian side intensified. It was not by chance, it was not a natural move route. It was all created, it was all directed,” he added.
The minister also said that Poland will not accept applications for asylum submitted after illegal border crossing. At the same time, the government is preparing an information campaign in seven countries from which migrants will warn them about the dangers and inability of participating in manipulations of authority regimes.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Tomash Semonyak, in turn, emphasized that the border is constantly monitored using physical and electronic infrastructure. Daily, nearly 11 thousand services and military employees provide security.
At 186 kilometers of border, a steel fence 5.5 meters high is installed, which fits into electronic barriers.
Remember that some days earlier in Poland they said they plan to put anti -personnel Mines on borders with Russia and Belarus as part of the Eastern Shield project.
Send Poland another 1,500 border guards on the border with Belarus
