In Poland, the State Election Commission (GIK) has registered a record number of president’s candidates in country history – Ukrinform reported it.

Currently, Gik examines the authenticity of the signatures submitted for five candidates. So far, they have been confirmed for the legality of the signature for 11 candidates, an applicant for the highest position in the country should still correct some formalities in preparing the documentation.
Among the candidates were 15 men and two women. Their age ranges from 38 to 76 years.
According to the polls, the greatest opportunity of the candidate’s presidency from the ruling civil coalition, the current mayor of Warsaw Rafal TshasKovsky. His opponents in the second cycle could be a candidate, with the support of the opposition party, law and justice (PIS) Karol Navrotsky or candidate from the nationalist Confederation Slavomir Mentzen.
Keep in mind that the first tour of the President’s election in Poland will be held on May 18, the second rotation will be held as needed on June 1.
