Counterintelligence SBU prevented a terrorist attack in one of the largest industrial centers of the city of Ukraine – Kamiani in Dnipropetrovsk.
This was reported by the SBU press service and the General Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the results of a special SBU operation, she detained an agent of Russian special services, which, on the task of her curator, prepared a home -made explosive device (SVP) for a community research, the SBU said.
According to the investigation:
- suspect-22-year-old drug addict in Bakhmut, who went to the Kharkiv region, and then to Dnipropetrovskiy to the city;
- In search of light income, she established a connection in Telegram Messenger with hostile special services. After completing the task “Test” – arson of the relay – the curator entrusted the girl to prepare a bloody terrorist attack;
- For a conspiracy, the identity changed its place of residence and moved to a rented apartment, which was paid from the crypto of its curator;
- According to the instructions of the invaders, the agent acquired a thermos in which she had to lay explosives and “strengthen” her nails. The malefactor believed that after the production of SVP, it should transfer an explosive substance in masks to another person or hide it in a casing;
- But in fact, the idea of the aggressor was to bring his agent at the peak hour to the crowded place of the district center and blow it with the help of SVP. Thus, racists hoped to kill the maximum number of people and, thus, lead to the spread of panic moods among the inhabitants of the front.
Counterintelligence SBU revealed in advance the enemy’s intentions and detained the agent when he synthesized explosives for SVP, ”SBU said.
During searches in the apartment of the detainee found:
- components for the production of SVP;
- Mobile phone with evidence of working on the Russian Federation.
The detainee reported suspicion in the framework of the first part of art. 14, part 2 of art. 258 of the Criminal Code (preparation for a terrorist act).
The headman is in custody, she faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
