The American leader thinks Tehran wants direct communication, despite the opposite statement of Iran’s leadership.
US president Donald Trump is convinced that Iran is ready for direct talk about his nuclear program. On Thursday, April 3, Vloomberg reported that there was a reference to Trump’s statement to reporters aboard Air Force One.
The publication suggests that this statement sounded one day after Tehran said he was willing to carry out appropriate negotiations, but only by mediators.
“Forget about the letters, I think they (Iran – Ed.) Want to have direct negotiations,” Trump said.
He emphasized that he prefers a conversation with Iran only, and that, in his opinion, can facilitate the conclusion of the agreements.
“They (Iran – Ed.) Want to take advantage of the mediators. I don’t think it’s necessary, it’s true. I think they are concerned. I think they are hurting, and I don’t want them to feel that way,” added the White House leader.
According to Vloomberg, last week Iran’s President Masud Kiteshkin said the high -leader of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei did not want direct communication to the Trump team because he believed that they threatened Iran by strength.
