President George Simion’s candidate, supported by Romanian farming, was head of fresh ratings, but he lost the second spin.
The Romanian president’s candidate from Ultra -right forces George Simion led the rating of elected races, but in the second spin he lost his major rivals. This has been proven by the survey results of the independent agency MKO, report Hotnews.ro.
The results of the first twist:
-
George Simion – 31.2%
-
Nikushor Dan – 22.7%
-
KRIN ANTONESCU – 18.8%
-
Victor Pontus – 17.1%
-
Elena Lasconi – 5.3%
In the case of admission to the second twist, Simion will miss both the mayor of Bucharest Nikushor Danu (35% compared to 31%) and the candidate from government coalition Krin Antonescu (33% compared to 31%). If his rival became ex-prime minister Viktor Pont, voters would be shared equal to 30% for each.
Who supports candidates?
The socio-demographic base of Simion supporters consists mainly of residents of rural areas (58%), people with low income (50%) and total secondary education (59%). The main motivation for selection is the desire for anti -anti -system changes and positions (32%). Its electorate is highly transferred: 87% said they will surely come to polls.
At the same time, Nikushor Dan has strong support in large cities (72%), in voters with secondary and high income (72%), as well as people with higher education (43%). Its main advantage, according to voters, is honesty (44%) and capabilities (21%).
Krin Antonescu has a socio-demographic base balanced, with most supporters in cities (61%) and medium and high income (66%). The main factors of support are good (33%) and political orientation (30%).
The survey was conducted from March 26 to March, 2025 of the 1,500 respondents. The error is ± 2.5%.
Keep in mind that in November in Romania in the president’s election at the first twist, pro -russian Ultra -Liram politician Kalin Georgeca won.
The Constitutional Court of Romania removed the results of the first election of the president’s election. The reason for removing the results is the intervention of the Russian Federation and Cyber attacks. The President’s repeated election will be held in the second half of May.
