The Ministry of Defense of Denmark reported a contract for the purchase of 130 patria armored personnel carriers. The value of the contract is 1.9 billion kroons (over 250 million euros).
Denmark plans to use the armored staff both in light infantry units and mechanized brigades. BTR data was developed as part of a joint program including participation of Finland, Latvia, Sweden and Germany, and was made in Finland and Latvia.
It has been noted that the first armored staff of carriers from the order should be delivered this year. They will be used for training to prepare staff at the time that large batches of that armored carrier personnel begin to arrive in 2026.
