The American president called the North Korea leader “very smart”, and the DPRK – the “great nuclear country.”
US president Donald Trump said he has a great relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong -un and plans to meet him. The White House leader said this in a conversation with journalists on Monday, March 31, Ukrinform reports.
“Yes, I’ll do it,” Trump answered the question of whether he plans to contact the DPRK leader.
“I have a very good relationship with Kim Jong-un. You are not happy to hear it, but very important, I have been with her perfectly,” she continued.
Trump remembered that it all started “very brudely” when he called Kim a little “Rocketman”. But then, according to him, things improved.
“When they called us and said they wanted to meet. We met, we had a good relationship. And yes, there was communication. So I think it was very important,” the President said.
She called North Korea a “big nuclear country”, and Kim Jong in “is very smart.”
“So yes, maybe I’m going to do something at a certain point,” added Trump, who commented on the opportunity to restore the relationship with Kim.
Remember that in his former presidency, Trump held three meetings with Kim Jong. Their diplomacy did not produce specific results. The United States called on North Korea to renounce nuclear weapons, and the DPRK demanded a complete weakening of the penalties, and then announced new threats.
In November 2024, it was reported that the team of the newly elected President of the United States was discussing direct negotiations with the North Korean leader.
