Turkish opposition collected a mass protest in Istanbul

The head of the Republican People’s Party, Ozgur, Ozel was announced by 2.2 million people who gathered in the square in the city center.

The opposition of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) on Saturday, March 29, gathered a mass rally in Istanbul demanded to release the mayor of the city of Ekrem Imamoglu. It was reported by the local publication that Hürriyet Daily News.

The action took place under the “Freedom Imamoglu” slogan, was planned for noon, but began an hour later, at 13:00.

According to the AFP News Agency, hundreds of people participated in the event. The leader of Chp Ozgur Ozel was announced by 2.2 million people gathered in the square in the middle of Istanbul.

The highlight of the rally was a speech made of artificial intelligence, which re -created the voice of Imamoglu.

“They can try to stop me, but I believe in you,” said the artificial intelligence in the Voice of the mayor of Istanbul.

During the protest, Ozel announced the opposition’s request for Imamoglu’s test to be able to go live on the TRT State Television Channel, strengthening calls for transparency.

Remember that Imamoglu was confined on March 19 on charges of corruption, bribery and connection with criminal organizations. Authorities have opened two separate investigations where mayors have been accused of false tenders and managing a criminal group.
