The funds will enter the Energy Support Fund for the energy community, where many other international donors have joined since 2022.
In Germany, the Federal Ministry of Economics, Trade and Protection of Climate announced the allocation of another 7.27 million euros for regulating Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. This was reported by the German Ministry of Economy.
It is noted that the funds will enter the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine of community energy, where many other international donors have also joined since 2022.
“Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s civilian energy infrastructure do not stop. These attacks bring a strong blow to the people of Ukraine. Germany responds to this emergency. We will continue to stand next to our Ukrainian partners at this time,” said Minister Robert Habek.
German contributions are aimed at the ongoing stability of the Ukrainian energy system. As such, part of the funds is directed at the “green” energy transfer projects, which places foundations for further expanding the decentralized components of the Ukrainian energy system.
Keep in mind that the Iceland government is in addition to introducing more than 2 million euros to the Energy Support Fund.
Earlier it was reported that the Netherlands would support Ukraine’s energy of € 65 million.
