EU sanctions: Rubio says what Russia is asking

Russia’s position will be presented to President Donald Trump, who must decide further steps in the United States.

Russia, among other things, requires raising penalties in Europe in exchange for the regime of silence in the black sea. About this in a briefing on Wednesday, March 26, State Secretary Marco Rubio said.

He noted that after a meeting in Riyadh, the American side was received from Russia a more detailed sense of what means “Energy’s Energy of Energy”, as well as the conditions that must be fulfilled so that the Russian Federation has come up with stopping the Black Sea.

“Some of these conditions include penalties that are not ours. The European Union introduces them. So when our people return, we sit at the table, discuss the proposals, get their impressions of conversations to better understand what Russia’s position is, and what they want to replace,” Rubio said.

The State Secretary added that the Russian position will then be presented to President Donald Trump, who should decide further steps in the United States.

“I think it’s good that both Ukrainians and Russians are talking about stopping, whether it’s energy, or, maybe, in the black sea,” Rubio said.

As you know, the Kremlin said after negotiations with the United States that Truce’s Energy was said to have begun on March 18, but in relation to the Black Sea, the ceasefire will begin to operate after lifting penalties from Rosselkhozbank and other Russian financial organizations involved in operation with international food trade.

Later, Donald Trump said he was considering the terms of the Russian Federation through the agreement of a Truce along with Ukraine in the Black Sea, including slightly lifting penalties.

Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron said all sanctions from Russia would only be raised if the Russian Federation retreated to the international recognized boundaries of Ukraine.
