US president Donald Trump, according to special missions, said Richard Grenell said the nuclear weapons that remained in Ukraine after the collapse of the USSR belonged to Russia, and called it “unpleasant reality”. The statement has caused a strong reaction to politicians and diplomats around the world.
“Error” in the Budapest Memorandum
“We clarified the Budapest Memorandum: Nuclear weapons belong to Russia and the debris. Ukrainian returns Russian nuclear weapons. It’s not Ukrainian. It’s an unpleasant fact,” Grenell wrote on X (Twitter).
Remember, as a result of the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Ukraine inherited the third nuclear arsenal in the world (1734 Strategic Warheads). “Study the story thoroughly,” Paifer turned to Grenell.
“Nuclear warheads in Ukraine are former Soviet than Russian. Warheads stored are exclusively in Ukraine. ICBMS (Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles – Ed.) And firefighters are destroyed in Ukraine, except for a small number sent to Russia to write down debts,” Paifer added.

Ex-congressman from Republican party Adam Kakisingser also criticized Grenell’s statement.
