Negotiations in Ukraine and the USA in Saudi Arabia will be held today.
On Sunday evening, March 23, Ukrainian and American delegations will hold a meeting. In addition, KYIV representatives can also hold additional negotiations with the United States tomorrow. This will depend on the progress that will be achieved today. This was reported by the New York Times and Reuters, citing a Ukrainian official.
On Monday, March 24, Americans should also meet with representatives of the country of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the special representative of the United States in Ukraine Kellologa said that the negotiation participants will be in separate premises, and American intermediaries will transfer the message of Kiyiv and Moscow “forward and back”.
The delegations of the United States and Ukraine have already met in Saudi Arabia on March 11. At that time, Kyiv was represented by the presidential cabinet Andriy Yermak, Foreign Minister Andriy Sibig, the first vice-minister of Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko and deputy OP Paullo Palis.
At this meeting, Ukraine agreed to accept US proposals to introduce a 30-day ceasefire. Security guarantees were also discussed during the meeting, but their details will be discovered in detail after the introduction of a truce.
We recall that Bloomberg said that the United States still hopes that within a few weeks a wide truce in the Russian war against Ukraine can be achieved, despite the signs that the Kremlin is in no hurry to conclude an agreement on the eve of negotiations planned for the coming days. The White House seeks to conclude an agreement on a truce until April 20.
