Turkish media prohibits transit protests

Turkish authorities have announced the restraint of more than 600 people for participating in protests or for the publication of “Provocative Post” on social networks.

In Turkey, mass protests continue, which began after arresting the mayor of Istanbul, oppositionist of the Ekrem Imamoglu. On March 23, the court decided to arrest Imamoglu on charges of corruption and complications by the Kurdistan workers’ party. It reported a haber on Sunday, March 23.

Imamoglu rejected all the accusations, considering them a political persecution.

Against the protests that cover the capital and other Turkey cities, authorities have banned direct broadcasts of rallies, which threaten the media by seizing licenses. Access to popular social networks and video services, in particular X, YouTube and Instagram, is also limited.

The protests continue against the back of the police’s violent action, using gas tears and waterlets to spread demonstrators.

Authorities have announced the restraint of more than 600 people for participating in protests or for publishing “Provocative Posts” on social networks.

Remember, someday, the mayor of Istanbul is confined to accusations such as bribery and helping a terrorist group.

As reported, the Opposition Party of the CHP (Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi) called the arrest of the Istanbul mayor of an attempt by a coup, and protests exploded in many cities of the country.
