Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, assured today that Russia does not want an end to the war, while Ukraine defend your land.
In a post on Facebook, Zelensky writes: “This is a war in Ukraine that Russia began, that Russia continues, and that Russia doesn’t want to finish. Ukraine it defends its land, its sovereignty, its territory. Ukraine fight for peace.”
“This is a cruel paradox of the 21st century and for us it is a reality,” he adds in his message, which is accompanied by images of Ukrainian defenders.
A few hours before, in his usual nighttime speech, Zelensky was convinced that Ukraine he will be able to gradually liberate the areas occupied by Russian troops.
“Ukraine withstood violent attacks Russia. We have already managed to liberate part of the territory occupied after February 24th. Little by little, we will liberate other areas of our country that are currently under occupation,” he said.
He emphasized that the most important thing is that Ukraine maintains internal unity, while calling to remember how much the Ukrainian people had to endure in the past before they could restore the sovereignty and independence of the country.
