The mayor of the city of Kochani Luppo Papazov resigned from the tragedy, which took place on Sunday night at the local night club. As a result of the fire, 59 people were killed, many of them were young people who came to a concert of one of the pop groups. This was reported by the A1 TV Channel.
According to preliminary data, the fire exploded due to improper use of pyrotechnic agents.
Papazov commented on his resignation, saying that after this tragedy for him, “Nothing would happen as usual.”
“I worked honestly and honestly throughout my life, and I never thought it would just end. The mayor also admitted that many noticed his loss in public space on tragedy day, explaining that such events were difficult to survive.
Separately, he emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into all the details of the tragedy and noted that everything involved should be performed.
It was also learned that the night club where the tragedy occurred there was no license required to hold such events. In this regard, local law enforcement officials and bodies responsible for the safety of public events are engaged in the investigation.
Keep in mind that in North Macedonia, due to the disco fire, twelve -burn people burned life, another 100 received burns and injuries.
