The President of Ukraine, the supreme commander of the Armed Forces of Volodimir Zelensky, appointed the new chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on March 16.
He became Major General Andriy Gnatov, who still held the post of deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported on March 16 on the official website of the presidential office.
Khnatov’s task is to increase the effectiveness of the administrative vertical of the armed forces, in particular, in the process of reorganizing and implementing the structure of the corps, efficiency in making and implementing decisions on the rate of the supreme commander, in the implementation of combat experience in the planning and management of troops.
General Lieutenant Anatoly Bargilevich will continue his service as General Inspector of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The new General Inspector of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine received important tasks to monitor the processes of reforms implemented in the army, checking compliance with the laws and decisions adopted in the system of the Ministry of Defense, taking into account its extensive management experience gained in the Armed Forces.
