Ukraine and the United States have made a “positive step” during today’s negotiations.
According to Guardian, this was announced by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio while communicating with journalists after meeting with the Ukrainian delegation in Jedde.
Rubio noted that Ukraine supported the United States in negotiations on the ceasefire. He noted that the United States will now “transmit this proposal” to the Russians, adding that the ball is now on their parts of the field.
Rubio called this proposal to the Russians as “the proposal to stop the shooting.”
When he was asked if there is a last time that the Russians should answer this proposal about a 30-day temporary ceasefire, Rubio said:
We are going to convey this proposal … We will tell them – this is what is on the table.
Ukraine is ready to stop the fire and start negotiations, and now they depend on whether they say “yes” or “no,” he emphasized.
Rubio expressed the hope that the Russians “say yes.”
If so, I think we have achieved great success. If they say no, then, unfortunately, we will find out that this is an obstacle to the world in the region, ”he said.
In a conversation with journalists, US President Mike Volc President Mike Volz said that today the Ukrainian delegation “made it clear very clearly” that “sharing the vision of President Trump about the world.”
According to him, Ukraine “made specific steps and proposals,” in particular, it accepted Washington’s proposal for a complete ceasefire.
Voltz said that he would talk with his Russian colleague “In the coming days”, and Rubio will meet with G7 foreign ministers in the next few days.
