The UK Department of Defense has already announced that its Typhoon fighter fleet will have new radar as part of a £ 2.35bn investment.
The head of the Royal Air Force, Mike Wigston, has announced the readiness of British aircraft and pilots for war with Russia, Sky News reports.
When asked how likely the RAF was to be brought into a direct conflict with Russia, Wigston said Moscow was becoming “especially aggressive”.
“We need to be prepared for this, and this is, I think, the most important lesson for Europe’s security that follows from the aggression,” Wigston said.
According to him, Russia is the strongest threat to the security of the UK and Europe.
“So we have to be prepared, and we have to be prepared to support our NATO allies and defend NATO territory, not just UK territory. I have no doubt that this is a clear and current threat that we are training to be “Obviously, we hope it won’t come and the detention will work, but if the day comes that Russia will take aggressive actions against a NATO state, we will be ready,” the RAF commander assured.
It all comes down to having pilots with the training, skills and experience to deal with any surprise, whether it’s a missile launch or close combat in the air, the commander insisted.
The UK Department of Defense has already announced that its Typhoon fighter fleet will have new radar as part of a £ 2.35bn investment. Radar will help the aircraft control the wind by jamming the signals of other aircraft and air defense systems.
Recall, according to British military estimates, Russia has lost more than 30% of potential offensive ground forces, giving “absolute confidence” to the Ukrainian armed forces that they will win the war.
