The Estonian delegation spoke about the security situation in Ukraine, the nature of Russia’s actions on the border with Ukraine and neighboring states.
A delegation of the Estonian Defense Forces led by Commander Lieutenant General Martin Gerem visited Ukraine, where, in particular, they visited cities destroyed by the Russian army and met with the Ukrainian military command, the press center of the General Staff of the report of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Estonian delegation mentioned the security situation in Ukraine, the nature of Russia’s actions on the border with Ukraine and neighboring states, the facts of violations by Russian troops of the rules of war and the labor of crimes against humanity.
The parties also discussed possible further actions of the Russian Federation, the security situation on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, trends in the development of the military-strategic situation in Eastern Europe and the Black Sea-Azov region.

The delegation of the Estonian Defense Forces visited the places where war crimes were committed by the Russian occupiers, especially the cities of Gostomel, Borodyanka and the battlefield near the village of Moshchun in the Kyiv region, and also visited the Chernihiv region.
Lieutenant General Martin Gerem mentioned that the example of Ukraine’s struggle in the war with Russia was a very important experience for NATO countries. Estonia is one of the states that continues to support Ukraine and its troops, in particular, it assisted in the professional training of personnel.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, in turn, noted that Martin Gerem’s arrival in Ukraine was “evidence of systemic support and solidarity in the war against Russia.”
Recall that the Bank of Estonia began to sell exclusive two-euro coins dedicated to Ukraine. Funds proceeds from the sale of coins will go to the Central Bank of Ukraine in support of the struggle for independence of the country.
