The minister added that French President Emmanuel Macron asked him to accelerate the transfer of assistance packages for Ukraine to compensate for American assistance, which no longer comes. ”
In addition, answering questions about increasing the defensive budget of France in the face of the Russian threat in Europe, Lorton noted that the French army “can reach the appropriate level of combat capabilities by about 90 billion euros per year.” The current defense budget of France is 50.5 billion euros per year.
