The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry said the Budapest would not agree with any decision, which could “lead to the continuation of the war.”
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarteo met in Washington with state secretary Mark Rubio and complained to him about the European approach to the Ukraine war. This was reported by the Hungarian edition of Telex.
After the negotiations with Rubio, the Sihato was postponed by the fact that the US administration, “despite all the conflicts and suffering,” it followed its position that the war between Russia and Ukraine should not continue.
Sihate added that Rubio had informed him about the temporary stop of military assistance in Ukraine.
“And I let him know that in Europe, especially in the western half of Europe, there was a conspiracy against Donald Trump and his peaceful plan,” Cyyyartoo continued.
He assured that at the peak of the European Union this week, Hungary would not agree with any decision that “could lead to the continuation of the war.”
“In Europe, of course, we are neglected, but to continue to talk about who to blame and who the invasion does not lead to anything good. It has been happening for three years, and it has not helped. We need to do something again, we have to perform peace negotiations, and that’s why we support the US’s peaceful resolution to the UN, where the council is adopted.”
As we have written, Viktor Orban Prime Minister Viktor Orban threatened to hinder the EU leaders’ joint statement in support of Ukraine following the summit on March 6.
