Mexico has prepared a response to new duties in the US

Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that the country will introduce duties in response to 25% US tariffs. The list of goods that will be affected will be reported on Sunday during a public event at the Mexico City center. This was known by the AP on Tuesday, March 4.

Shanbaum criticized the US decision, emphasizing that it was unreasonable and destroying citizens of both countries. He also denied the accusations of the White House allegedly “unacceptable -accepted connections” by the Mexican government with drug cartels, called them unfounded.

“We do not want an economic conflict. This decision will ruin American and Mexican citizens, stop creating jobs and increase prices for goods,” Shanbaum said.

Canada has already announced the corresponding roles for more than $ 100 billion of American goods, and China from March 10 will introduce 15% tariffs for major American -Agricultural products.
