The President of the United States Donald Trump decided to increase the tariffs for importing Chinese goods from 10 to 20%. This is indicated on the official page of the White House.
The recognition of the fact that the PRC did not take appropriate measures to weaken the crisis of the illegal distribution of drugs, in section 2 (a) Decree No. 14195, changes were made according to which the words “10 percent” and “20 percent” are inserted instead, ”the presidential decree says.
It is noted that the crisis with fentanyl is jealous of “national security, foreign policy and the United States.”
It is expected that Beijing resorts to counter -meters, which will also damage the US economy and affect global trade.
The US media reports that Canada and Mexico have also received new 25% of the duties. Earlier, Trump said that on March 4 it is planned to set tariffs against two neighboring countries.
We recall that on February 1, US President Donald Trump signed three decisions that set additional tariffs for products from Mexico, Canada and China. The responsibilities for China are already 10%for Canada and Mexico – 25%. For energy from Canada, tariffs were 10%.
