British prime minister Cyrus Starkmer gathered 18 leaders from Europe, Canada and Turkey for a summit in London to discuss Russian war against Ukraine and greater security in Europe.
British prime minister Cyrus Starmer was far from talking to the leaders of Baltic countries, whom he did not invite to the peak in relation to the war in Ukraine. He apologized for not sending them an invitation to a war -related meeting in Ukraine. On Sunday, March 2, reports LRT.
The conversation was attended by the presidents of Lithuania and Estonia – Gitanas Nauceda and Alar Caris, as well as the Prime Minister of Latvia Evik Surin.
As the senior adviser told Lithuania President Asta Skysgity, the British Prime Minister began his speech at a apology before the leaders of Baltic countries.
“The leaders discussed the meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine and the USA Vladimir Zelensky and Donald Trump,” he said.
Skychythitis said the Baltic countries and the UK were united in the opinion that only Russia would benefit from disagreements between the United States and Ukraine. Therefore, they expressed the desire for Zelensky and Trump to return to the dialogue.
He also noted that Starmer in a conversation with the leaders of the Baltic countries said: Trump wanted to achieve a peace agreement, after which Europeans would provide Ukraine’s guarantee for security.
Great Britain and France will work with Ukraine to create a peaceful plan, which will then be presented to the United States.
