The United States may stop providing military assistance to Ukraine.
US Presidential Administration Donald Trump is considering the possibility of stopping all current proposals for military assistance to Ukraine. This White House can do this after the statements of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the oval office and its alleged unwillingness to compromise in a peaceful process. This was reported by The Washington Post, citing a high -ranking American official.
The source noted that if such a decision is made, it will affect billions of dollars of military assistance: radars, vehicles, ammunition, missiles and other weapons, which now expects Ukraine to be sent to Ukraine with the help of a presidential mechanism.
It is noted that the consideration of such a question of military assistance to Kyiv shows that the relationship between Kiev and Washington worsened greatly after a quarrel in the White House between Vladimir Zelensky, Donald Trump and Vice President Jay Di Wans.
At the same time, the unnamed Higher official of the Trump administration denied the assumption that the conflict between the leaders of the two states was planned in advance. He emphasized that the American leader tried to give the meeting a more positive tone and refused that he had previously called Zelensky a “dictator”.
At the same time, New York Times writes that Trump can decide to stop even indirect support for Ukraine, which is provided by the United States, including other types of military financing, exploration exchange, training of Ukrainian military and pilots, as well as the placement of the International Center for Assistance on the American Military Base in Germany.
We will recall that on February 28, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the United States and first met with the American leader Donald Trump. It was expected that Ukraine and the United States would sign a mineral agreement.
However, during the meeting between Zelensky and Trump and Vice President Jay Di Wans, a dispute arose about the Russian Ukrings war. The US President said that Zelensky was not ready for the world, after which the Ukrainian delegation was supposed to leave the White House.
