Guterres noted that the huge -scale reduction in US costs for assistance introduced by American President Donald Trump opposed Washington’s interest.
UN Secretary of UN Antoniu Guterrish said the United States has reduced the assistance provided from the UN, and has led to the suspension of human auxiliary in some regions of Ukraine.
“If America’s role and influence on humanitarian issues will decline, it will contradict its global interest. I can only hope that the action of decisions made can be canceled based on a carefully conducted review,” he said.
According to Gutterisha, in Ukraine, major regions suspended the implementation of cash programs which is a major element of aids, designed for one million people.
As reported, Donald Trump’s administration has stopped funding 5.8 million US Agency for International Development (USAID) projects.
Keep in mind that in January, Trump signed a command to suspend 90 days of all external assistance until the end of the inspections, the goal of which was to determine if they match political goals. USAID in Ukraine has received an indication to stop all of their projects and costs.
