At a meeting with Trump, the British Prime Minister emphasized that the story should be next to the peacemaker, not the conqueror.
Ukraine needs peace, but it cannot be a reward to the aggression. British Prime Minister Kir Starkmer announced at a joint Press conference with President Donald Trump after negotiations on Thursday, February 27, reports Ukrinform.
“We must achieve peace, and this is what we must do now, because there is no peace, reward that invades or encourages regimes like Iran,” Starmer emphasized.
He also recalled that within a few weeks the United States and Britain would celebrate the 80th anniversary of Europe’s victory. “The UK and America have fought aside -aside to make this event one of the biggest in our history,” the Prime Minister said.
According to Starmer, he accepts Trump’s “deep personal love” to promote peace and end the killings.
“You have created a great opportunity to achieve a historical peace agreement, which, in my opinion, will be celebrated in Ukraine and around the world,” he emphasized, referring to the US president.
According to Starmer, “The story should be on the edge of the peacemaker, not the conqueror, so the bets are nothing higher, and we are determined to work together to succeed.”
The British government leader said he discussed with Trump a plan for achieving a powerful and fair world, where “Ukraine can rely … with the strength to prevent Putin’s return.”
When asked if it was possible to trust Putin, the Prime Minister mentioned that his views on the Russian leader were known. Therefore, it is important that the finished agreement is a long -term agreement, and not a temporary proposal.
“It is important that Putin knows that we will be able to cope with any desire to be regenerated,” the British government chief was completed.
Remember that Starkmer also said that Britain is ready to send his troops and flight for a peacekeeping mission to Ukraine.
Earlier, Starmer said the UK would strengthen Ukraine’s military support this year up to 4.5 billion pounds.
