On February 12, Apple closed access to the platform for creating corporate applications for Apple Developer Enterprise Program (Adep), which allows companies to develop programs for the iOS operating system and distribute them for their employees without publication in the App Store.
This was reported by the Russian Agency “RBC” with reference to several sources in the industry.
The developed programs developed at IT stopped working, and the business has not yet found direct alternative to this tool, ”the newspaper notes.
It is noted that Russian companies will now have to look for new ways to install programs on the iOS device, but there are some restrictions:
- The publication through the App Store provides access to accessibility, which is not suitable for domestic companies;
- The ADHOC scheme (development of a solution for a specific situation or problem) allows you to install the program on only 100 devices and limits the removal of the program. It was widespread, and testing for this option is impossible.
The agency’s profiles said that:
- Earlier, Apple sent letters to companies that use the certificates of the enterprise (Apple certificate, with which the developers can sign them and distribute them), which warns that these certificates will stop working since mid -February;
- From this date – February 12 – all data related to the program were deleted and no longer used.
It is noted that Apple did not explain why now she introduced new restrictions for Russian users. In its statements, the company previously explained that it takes measures in accordance with the requirements of legislation and international restrictions.
After the start of a full -scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Apple stopped supporting Russian Mastercard and Visa systems, and then MIM in her Apple Pay service, and also deleted applications for the sub -bank and the company from the App Store field
In the middle of last year, the United States has invested new sanctions against the Russian Federation, for which American companies are prohibited from providing Russian customers with a number of IT services, including supplies for planning enterprise resources (ERP), customer management (CRM), Business Analytics (BI) Management of chain Supply (SCM), Corporate OM Product (PLM).
It was also forbidden to provide IT support services or cloud services for appropriate software to “any person in Russia”. This package of sanctions entered into force on September 12, 2024.
Referring to these prohibitions, including:
- On September 9, it stopped working in the Russian Federation, a cloud service owned by Google (Cloud Storage, which allows you to quickly process queries for large data sets);
- Microsoft disconnected Russian clients from Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security Microsoft and Security Platforms, as well as Service Service Service.
