How long the war in Ukraine will continue if it does not end diplomatically is unknown, but Kyiv will surely win it. This was stated by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby at a briefing on April 6.
“The fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin will focus on a smaller geographical area certainly creates the possibility that the violence will continue. It could even intensify throughout Ukraine,” the spokesman said.
At the same time, he reiterated that Ukraine could “absolutely” win the war. Evidence of this is the inability of the Russian leader to achieve his strategic goals.
“Mariupol has not yet been captured. He removed his troops from Kyiv. He removed his troops from Chernigov. Kharkov was not captured. They did not capture Nikolaev in the south. Therefore, I think, the proof is literally in the results you see every day, ”Kirby said.
Earlier, Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Office of the President, suggested that the active phase of the war in Ukraine should end in mid -April.
