The Russians fired several Calibrated missiles at Vinnitsa. Some of the rockets were fired, but two of them hit the parking lot near the House of Life and the medical center.
City residents who suffered from a rocket attack in Vinnitsa were housed in hotel rooms. According to preliminary data, about 50 residential buildings were partially destroyed or damaged, located near the center of the explosion. This was announced on Thursday, July 14, by the city’s mayor Sergey Morgunov on his Facebook page.
“We must join forces to support the affected residents of the community. More than 50 residential buildings were damaged. I instructed to work out an algorithm for housing repairs. We will involve all management companies,” the mayor commented.
He noted that about 200 rooms in the hotel and one of the city’s schools have been prepared for resettlement of people.
“We will provide everything you need for an overnight stay, we will provide food,” Morgunov added.
He said the missile strike also hit city transportation – two tram cars, a trolleybus and a bus.
“At the same time, transport workers have already repaired broken overhead lines and contact networks to plan work to restore electricity traffic to the area. City services are operating in an emergency mode. One of “activities are to help rescuers remove the rubble. They have also provided additional equipment to the municipality for evacuating burnt vehicles and clearing the area at the center of the explosion,” he said.
At the same time, Morgunov stressed that it is possible to restore buildings and infrastructure, but nothing will bring back people’s lives.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Russian aggressors who launched a missile attack on Vinnitsa and killed dozens of people as cattle.
It will be recalled that on July 14, Russia launched a missile attack on Vinnitsa. At least 23 people died, including three children. Another 64 people were injured, 42 are missing.
Tomorrow, July 15, mourning for the dead will be declared in Vinnitsa and the region.
