In Ukraine today there is no urgent need to significantly increase the number of women on military records, so they will only be taken at will.

Registration of women for military registration will be carried out only at their request. This was reported on July 14 to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It was noted that during the war in the Russian Federation, approximately 1% of the total number of mobilized women were called to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations.

Most of them were assigned to the positions of medical personnel, communication units, moral and psychological support, clerks, accountants and cooks.

Currently, the demand for female specialists in medicine, radio engineering and food technology remains.

“The experience of deploying military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations throughout the wartime states proves that the state today has no urgent need to significantly increase the number of women on military records, ”the General Staff emphasized.

In this regard, the Chief Personnel Director of the General Staff has made proposals for getting women to military registration only with their consent.

It is also suggested to start taking steps to put women on military registration no earlier than one month after the end of the special period in the state.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense issued a military registration order for women. It provides that from October 1 of this year, women with certain specialties and/or professions will be registered for military service.
