Transnistria is a Moldova region at the left bank of Dniester and a small enclave to the right. In 1992, Transnistrian separatists announced the creation of the “Transnistrian Moldavian Republic” under the control of Moscow.
The Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and the European Union are interested in recovering Russian troops from Dniester’s left bank. On Friday, February 14, Moldova prime minister Dorin Rechan said on the jurnal TV channel.
He noted that an international context has now been formed, which may lead to the fact that Russia will remove its troops from the left bank of Dniester – Transnistria as part of the negotiation process.
“This may not need to be a peaceful process of communication, because in the near future it is difficult to imagine,” Dorin Republic said.
He noted that the Republic of Moldova insisted that this issue would be included in the agenda of negotiations.
Earlier, the North Atlantic Alliance promised to affect Moscow to the Annex to add Moldova’s transnistrian region.
Keep in mind that Moldovan president Maya Sandu will not be excluded that for the next few years a “geopolitical opportunity” will appear, resolving the conflict in the Transnistrian region.
