People with disabilities in Ukraine were forbidden to send to VLK.
At the meeting on February 14, in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, changes were made to a number of documents that determine the procedure for military registration and the passage of VLK. In particular, a complete ban on the direction of persons with disabilities to the military medical commission is provided. The government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk announced Telegram.
New changes provide for that information on the presence of disability will now add to the register of conscripts, conscripts and reservists “with the subsequent display of such information in the document of military accounting in electronic form.”
The government also allowed instead of submitting initial documents in order to submit a copy of a medical report on a child with disabilities under the age of 18, confirmed by the social protection authority, a medical institution, the body of the Pension Fund of Ukraine or notarized, as well as copies of other documents confirming disability.
We will recall that in Ukraine, the deadline for passing a military medical commission for limited judges continued until June 5, 2025.
Earlier, in 2024, the status of the “limited” was canceled in Ukraine, and citizens with such status should have passed the passage of before February 4, 2025. However, in eight months, only 25% of them fulfilled this requirement, which made it impossible to introduce the law during a certain period.
