The Hungarian official, during a visit to the Lebanese capital, Beeut said his country maintains a friendly relationship with Lebanon and is ready to help strengthen the region’s stability and security.
He added that Budapest will support the Lebanese army with 400 million for (991-500 euros), “instead of sending weapons to Ukraine.”
“We are sending these funds to Lebanon through the European Fund of the World, and we can do this because we do not send weapons to Ukraine, so we can transfer money to other countries that have gone there,” Siyart boasted .
Hungary prevents the distribution of more than six billion euros from the European Fund for more than a year, intended to compensate EU countries that cost military assistance in Ukraine.
Earlier, the media reported that Hungary at the last moment had agreed to approve the expansion of sanctions against Russia. Budapest will make concessions in exchange for an application, which will be considered his fear about “energy security”.
