Fake pollution over Ukraine shows the popular Internet service wreath.
The press service is decorated with the center about this today, February 11.
The hydrometeorological center claims that such services use numerous models and global databases, which, in particular, were introduced by Ukrainian plants, TPP and other large sources of pollution.
These bases are updated every few years, and in our case, they have not been updated for more than 11 years. This means that wreaths are still considering active enterprises that have already stopped or destroyed as a result of the war, ”the hydrometeorological center emphasizes.
It is noted that Ukraine does not update the data in the relevant global bases for war reasons in war conditions – this will mean the transfer of information about all existing enterprises, their abilities and types of emissions.
For example, if the plant produced 1 million tons of steel earlier and released a certain number of pollutants, the model suggests that it continues to work. In addition, this information is combined with data on atmospheric conditions: if the anticipron and the absence of wind, the model predicts the accumulation of pollution; If the wind or precipitation, the model includes scattering
The hydrometeorological center claims that the wreaths cards show that the system is still considering the operational electrical installation of Azovstal, Novokakhovsky and other non -surgical enterprises.
Next to these enterprises, the excess of sulfur and nitrogen dioxide is predicted in the coming days, although there are no more real emissions.
A similar situation throughout Ukraine: many enterprises are destroyed or stop, but the algorithms do not know this and continue to show fictitious emissions, say weather forecasters.
Consequently, the hydrometeorological center is called not to trust the forecast of pollution from unofficial sources, since this is only a model, and not real data.
Currently, the most reliable are the actual measurements from land posts and satellite monitoring. As of February 11, they do not register the dust in the atmosphere over Ukraine, and in the coming days there are no conditions for its receipt from other regions, say weather forecasters.
