VOLODYMYR ZELENSKYY President said this in an interview for the British television company ITV News.
I would not want to freeze the front, because several cities that are cut by the contact line today will suffer. I know what a contact line is. In 2019, when I became the president, I visited him in the east of our country. I was in these villages. There was no life there. Even in the villages we controlled. I tried to build bridges there so that the “quick” could ride faster, the children could go to school. Because everything was destroyed there, ”he said.
The head of state added that these built bridges were already destroyed by the Russians. That is why he said: “Near the contact line, even when the war ends, it will be very difficult to live.”
We will recall that the President of Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that there is all the possibilities for the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine in 2025. He added that he was ready to talk with the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin if he is sure that Europe and the USA will not “abandon” Ukraine. The head of state noted that the question of the end of the war is based on the fact that security guarantees can be provided to Ukraine by Western partners.
