Five employees of the correctional colony in the Poltava region were tortured.
The office of the Prosecutor General completed a preliminary investigation against five officials of one of the correctional colonies of the Poltava region during torture. They are accused of 3 parts of art. 28, part 2 of art. 127 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In addition, the organizer is also accused of deliberate severity of bodily damage, which caused the death of the prisoner (part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation showed that the colonies were systematically tortured and mocked the convicts.
Immediately after arriving in the colony, convicts were forced to take actions that other convicts could jeopardize, removing the process on the video camera for further blackmail. In case of refusal of the fulfillment of the person’s requirements, they exert psychological pressure on him in order to break the will of a person and undoubtedly perform some instructions.
Torture was used for prisoners. They were beaten with arms, legs, rubber sticks, sticks and twisted their hands behind their backs. They put injections on a wet surface and walked through the body.
It was found that in February 2022, colony officers tortured one of the convicts within an hour. All this was accompanied by constant psychological pressure. During the next torture, the organizer caused serious bodily injuries from which he died.
The suspects were now informed about the completion of a preliminary investigation and access to materials for familiarization.
