UNESCO condemns the rocket firing of the world heritage officer, the historical center of Odessa last night, which caused serious damage to at least two cultural buildings that are under the protection of UNESCO conventions, the department says.
These repeated attacks should stop. International law must be respected, ”UNESCO added.
The organization noted that their team is currently working on operational documentation on damage, and together with the Ukrainian authorities determines priority response measures.
UNESCO will send a mission in the near future, ”the organization added.
